MARK MACASKILL AND LOCKERBIE

Image from: No Foresight for Newspapers: Is Claycord the local version of the Associated Press?

A UK journalist called Mark Macaskill is trying to discredit al-Megrahi, the alleged Lockerbie bomber.

Mark Macaskill claims that al-Megrahi had a lot of money in a bank account in Switzerland, where he had an office. (Abdelbaset Ali al-Megrahi had secret £1.8m)

Reportedly, he may have been given the money by Libyan Arab Airlines, his employer, to buy aircraft parts.

Or, the money may have been to finance an attempt to include Libya in the Paris to Dakar rally.

Mark Macaskill, who works for Rupert Murdoch's Sunday Times, "has intimated in his articles that he is party to anonymously sourced information from MI5." (complaint about Sunday Times arms.)

The Guardian (Media Section) noted Mark Macaskill's work and referred to "an outrageous example of Sunday Times bias, and alleged inaccuracy... on October 17 with a story headlined 'City anarchists stockpile arms'".

This story "was based on the evidence of unnamed sources said to have been found through the internet."

Under the headline 'City anarchists stockpile arms' (17/10/99), Mark Macaskill, and Edin Hamzic, stated that an organisation called Reclaim The Streets was "stockpiling illegal weapons including tear gas and stun guns for a planned riot in the City of London on November 30".

City of London Police said there was no evidence or intelligence to support allegations of arms purchases by RTS or that the group had any intention of organising a demonstration in the UK on November 30th. (Reclaim the truth - RTS submit complaint about Sunday Times arms ...)

Reclaim the Streets (RTS) submitted a complaint to the Press Complaints' Commission.

Professor Robert Black (The Lockerbie Case) points out that Macaskill's article on Megrahi contains several errors. (Abdelbaset Ali al-Megrahi had secret £1.8m)

(Mark Macaskill is not to be confused with Kenny MacAskill, Scotland's Justice Secretary.)

When it comes to issues such as Lockerbie and Iraq, only brainwashed people believe the Sunday Times.

According to George Monbiot, writing about Iraq, "The Times, the Sunday Times and the Daily and Sunday Telegraphs... all appear to have been willing accomplices in the Pentagon's campaign of disinformation." (Cached )

SADDAM IS BACK!

The real Saddam flew to Belarus. Is he still being used by the CIA?

The mainstream media lied about Saddam.

The real Saddam was reportedly flown to Belarus and was not put on trial.

On 29 November 2009, we learn that "Saddam Hussein is back - on a TV channel devoted to him.

"The Saddam Channel was broadcast across the Arab world on Friday for the first time...

"The man who claims to be its chairman said it is based somewhere in Europe - but he refused to say where."

(TV mystery as 'Saddam Hussain Channel' appears on Arab satellite networks and it's based in Europe.)

The Saddam Channel broadcast still photographs of Saddam with his sons Uday and Qusay. There were no live pictures.

The channel went off-air on Monday 30 November 2009. ('Saddam channel' in Iraq goes off the air )

The chairman of the channel told the Associated Press it would return by the weekend after a technology upgrade to make the broadcast stronger. (Iraqi TV channel praising Saddamn Hussein drops off satellite airwaves )

Abdul-Karim Qasim, the Iraqi Prime Minister 1958-63. Saddam was part of the CIA plot to topple Qasim. (Exclusive: Saddam Was key in early CIA plot)

Is this a CIA channel designed to divide and weaken Iraq?

The channel "dredges up the sectarian divisions that Saddam inspired among Shiites and Sunnis at a time when Iraq is gearing up for crucial national elections." (Jerusalem Post the Middle East and ...)

Or is this a Saddam-run channel and is Saddam trying to make a comeback?

The channel showed a video of the 'execution of Saddam'. ('Saddam channel' in Iraq goes off the air )

If Saddam is trying to make a comeback, he would not want to promote such a fake video.

Saddam's double.

The World Tribune – 25 April 2003

"Iraqi President Saddam Hussein has obtained safe haven in Belarus, several intelligence agencies believe.

"Western intelligence sources said several intelligence agencies in the Middle East and Europe base this assessment on new information about a March 29 flight from Baghdad to Minsk.

"They said the flight of a chartered cargo plane could have transported Saddam, his sons and much of his family to Belarus.

"'There's no proof that Saddam was on the plane but we have proof that a plane left on that day from Baghdad airport and arrived in Minsk,' a senior intelligence source said. 'If you can think of anybody else who could obtain permission to fly out of Baghdad in the middle of a war, then please tell me.'" (The Truth Seeker - Hussein Given Safe Haven in Belarus?)

Gulf News Apr 15, 2003

"AN Iranian news agency close to top conservative military figures attributed the fall of Baghdad to a secret tripartite agreement between Saddam Hussein, Russia and the US.

"According to the Baztab agency, 13 days after the start of the war, Saddam and Russian intelligence allegedly pledged to hand over Baghdad with minimal resistance to allied forces provided they spared the lives of Saddam and a hundred of his close relatives.

"The US, for its part, promised to safely send Saddam and his entourage to a third country. (Iran Media Leaks Secret US Deal with Saddam )

Robert Fisk talking to Amy Goodman about Saddam:

"You know what, I have this absolute fixation that he’s in Belarus."

Alamo Christian Ministries Online

"An Iraqi Army officer describ(ed) how he saw a US Air Force transport fly Saddam Hussein out of Baghdad.

"The explosive eyewitness testimony was shot by independent filmmaker Patrick Dillon, who recently returned from a risky one-man odyssey in Iraq.

"In the film, the officer, who told Dillon that he commanded a special combat unit during the battle for Baghdad airport and whose identity is temporarily being withheld, explains in detail how he watched as the Iraqi dictator and members of his inner circle were evacuated from Iraq's capital by what he emphatically insists were United States Air Force cargo planes. [...]

"Dillon says his film lends major support to what many have believed for years: that Saddam was little more than an American tool, a stage-managed 'evildoer', just one in a long line of useful villains bought and paid for by the United States in order to better manipulate international politics and commerce." 13 April 2004. "Last week, American authorities arranged a meeting of the former Iraqi dictator with his wife.

"She was the first of Hussein's relatives to meet with the ex-leader of Iraq at a new place, at the American military base in Qatar.

"Accompanied by Sheikh Hamad Al-Tani, Sajida Heiralla Tuffah has arrived from Syria on his private jet in the end of March.

"The outcome of their meeting turned out to be quite scandalous.

"Sajina claims that the person she encountered was not her husband, but his double. (Saddam's wife could not recognize her husband )
